  • Nina Conti on Taskmaster!!!

NINA CONTI IS GOING TO BE ON SEASON 22 OF TASKMASTER!!! I’m reading the comments on Reddit & such, people don’t really seem to know who she is. She’s a ventriloquist who does some of the funniest work I’ve ever seen on stage. She has a setup where she makes audience members wear masks on […]

  • Mood

I am unpleasantly in the groove right now. I’m feeling good, but also like I’ve touched a live wire of the universe.

  • Breaking the site

My (somewhat joking) link of the day earlier broke the website layout. I love having a blog whose layout I can ruin if I want to.

  • Ubuntu ubuntu ubuntu Ubuntu unbuntu

    Link of the day: http://ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.ubuntu.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/ubuntu/

  • Democracy

We need direct democracy. The level of elite capture in this country is insane, and the two-party dynamics have degenerated into fascism vs. an absolutely minimal level of representation. If a handful of people make every law, then every law will go through a handful of fully capturable individuals. This is utterly incompatible with any […]

  • YouTube Pricing

We’ve totally lost the era of making products good. YouTube charges negative (however bad they can make YouTube) for YouTube Premium, so they have an incentive to make regular YouTube awful. They think they can make regular worth -$20, and according to their finances they’re probably right. We need to put some kind of limits […]

  • Concerned

A dear friend of mine sent me a long, rambling message about… something, I don’t know, it was clearly written under some kind of psychosis. I found out from their mom this morning they had checked themselves into a mental hospital for (apparently) a bunch of symptoms, including some physical apparently. They’ve had a history […]

  • On Direct Democracy

If all decision making is done by a small handful of elites, then the system will always be captured by that small handful of elites. There must always be some form of direct democracy available to ensure citizens can correct systemic failures of their representation.

  • The Best Possible World

I want to start a collection of ideas for the future, about what kind of future would be good. There are too many narratives of hell, what should we have instead? Imagine there are no restrictions whatsoever, what should we have? We guarantee human rights, like food, water, shelter, and healthcare We guarantee a right […]

  • What a day

Lost a friend today, because I am an idiot. Not sure what to, just cry I guess.
